Principle analysis of static/dynamic stretching ozone aging test chamber

Two cases of rubber ozone aging resistance test: one is static stretching and the other is dynamic stretching; both of the test results can evaluate the ozone aging resistance of rubber.

Static Tensile Ozone Aging Test Chamber Principle: The static tensile strain specimen is exposed to air containing a constant ozone concentration and a constant temperature test chamber, and the crack of the sample is inspected for a predetermined time. The evaluation of ozone cracking under selected ozone concentration and test temperature conditions may be as follows: A, B and C:

A. After exposure at the specified time and the specified strain, check for cracks and determine the degree of cracking if necessary.

B. Determine the earliest occurrence of cracking under any specified tensile strain.

C. Determine the critical strain for any specified exposure time.

Dynamic tensile ozone aging test chamber test principle: the vulcanized rubber sample is exposed to a closed, unilluminated, constant ozone concentration under continuous dynamic tensile deformation, or under intermittent dynamic and static tensile deformation. In the air and constant temperature test chamber, the sample is tested for a predetermined time, and the degree of change in cracks or other properties occurring from the surface of the sample is used to evaluate the ozone aging resistance of the rubber.
