To meet the growing demand for quality inspection of paper and carton products, the market currently requires around 70 different types of testing instruments. The industry is responsible for developing and producing specialized equipment and tools that support accurate and reliable testing. The comprehensive range of paper and packaging testing instruments includes several key categories: First, basic property testing equipment for paper and cardboard. This covers essential measurements such as weight, thickness, tightness, moisture, and absorption. Instruments like digital weight meters, manual and electric thickness gauges, moisture analyzers, and absorption testers are widely used and come in over ten varieties, meeting most practical needs. Second, strength performance testing equipment. These devices assess critical properties like tensile, compressive, burst, puncture, and tear resistance. Instruments such as tensile testing machines, cardboard compression testers, and bursting resistance meters are vital for evaluating the structural integrity of paper products. With more than 30 varieties available, these tools form the backbone of the industry. Third, printability testing instruments, which evaluate surface smoothness, roughness, and strength. These are technically complex and challenging to manufacture. While some models like the Buick smoothness meter and pendulum-type IGT meter are produced domestically, advanced tools like PPS and electric IGT meters are still imported, highlighting a current gap in domestic capabilities.
