Manshan Red Oil [Pinyin name] Mǎn Shān Hónɡ Yóu [English name] OLEUM RHODODENDRI DAURICI [Source] This product is volatile oil obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves of Rhododendron dauricum L. 【Properties】 This product is a pale yellow-green to yellow-brown clear liquid; it has a strong pungent aroma and a cool and spicy taste. After cooling to below -10 ℃, crystals will precipitate. This product can be arbitrarily mixed with methanol, ethanol, acetone, chloroform or ether, and slightly soluble in water. The relative density should be 0.935 to 0.950 (Appendix VIIA). The refractive index should be 1.500 ～ 1.520 (Appendix ⅦF).
