The IKEA PS 2014 series is their eighth-generation lighting line, inspired by today’s lifestyle—people who live in non-traditional spaces and move around frequently. Designed by eight different designers, this collection offers flexible solutions for those who embrace a "live in the moment" mindset and enjoy a youthful perspective. In the Guangzhou store, IKEA staff showcased the PS 2014 chandeliers and floor lamps in different settings, making them look perfect in each environment. The chandeliers come in two color options: white with orange or white with sky blue. What makes them stand out is their unique, dynamic design. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that these chandeliers can actually "deform." It almost feels like they were inspired by the movie *Transformers*. Under the chandelier, there are two small pullable parts—one serves as the power switch, and the other controls the “deformation” feature. Curious, I gave the “deformation” switch a tug, and the chandelier started to unfold, resembling a mini robot transforming. The white lampshade opened up, revealing an orange bracket inside, creating an irregular yet modern shape that casts interesting shadows on the walls and ceiling. The materials used in the chandelier are lightweight—made from ABS plastic, reinforced polyamide, and polypropylene, weighing only 2.2 kilograms. This makes it easy to install and handle. In addition to the chandeliers, the floor lamps in the PS 2014 series are equally impressive. Their clean, white design looks fresh and natural, fitting well with any home decor. Imagine sitting on a cozy sofa on a summer evening, turning on the floor lamp, and reading a good book—it's a peaceful and enjoyable moment. The floor lamp features a drawstring switch, allowing you to turn it on with a simple pull. The excess wire is neatly hidden inside the base, keeping the area around the lamp tidy and organized. The lampshade is also adjustable, offering both functional reading light and ambient lighting. You can even personalize it by placing your favorite photos, poems, or messages inside the shade, making it a truly unique piece of decor.
