(Reporter Li Tieqiao) Yesterday, the Press Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government held a press conference to announce that the second Hunan Furniture Fair was held in Cili County, Zhangjiajie City from September 26th to 29th. At present, the clustering development of Hunan furniture industry has taken shape. A total of 27 wooden Bamboo Furniture enterprises in the province have been identified as provincial leading enterprises in the forestry industry, and the number of wooden bamboo furniture enterprises with an annual output value of over 100 million yuan has increased to 8. In 2011, the total output value of the wood and bamboo furniture industry in the province reached 10 billion yuan.

The theme of this Hunan Furniture Fair is “Green Hunan, Quality Furniture, Low Carbon Life”.

The furniture industry in Hunan is quite unique in the country. The industry is widely recognized as “Guangdong and Hong Kong furniture, Hunan talent”. In recent years, Hunan's furniture industry has continued to grow and develop, especially in Changsha's furniture industry, with the growth rate ranking among the top three in the provincial capital cities. Industry insiders expect that the annual sales of Hunan furniture industry may exceed 100 billion yuan in the next three years.
