The general method for the printer to measure the size of the film without positioning holes is to put the film to be printed on the PS plate, measure it with the left side of the ruler, look at the right force, and measure the left and right “ten†to the left and right sides of the PS plate. The specific methods are as follows:
1. The exposed, developed waste PS plate was punched on one side (no punching machine, no punching), and a 6.5 cm wide strip was cut with a single-sided blade on the side where the positioning hole was punched. Be careful to trim the edges.
2. In the trimmed side box, the center line is first drawn with a ballpoint pen, and then one or two parallel long lines are drawn on the side bar according to the size of the mouthpiece required by each printing machine, so that the distance from each parallel line to the side with the positioning hole is equal to The size of the mouthpiece of the printing press is shown in Figure 1 (4.3 cm for the Roland 700 four-color printer, and 5.5 cm for the Heidelberg four-color printer).
3. The well-painted midline and long parallel lines are sealed with transparent tape to prevent wear of the lines after long-term use.
After the above three-step operation, the printing plate and the mouth ruler are ready. How to use it when printing?
1. Align the positioning hole on the ruler with the positioning hole on the PS plate. There is no ruler for positioning the hole, so that the two right angles of the ruler are aligned with the two right angles on the side of the PS plate. Then use pressure iron (lead weight is pressed on both ends of the ruler. This step is best done on the table.
2. Put the film to be printed on the PS plate so that the scallop line on the film overlaps with the squeegee line of the corresponding printer on the ruler, and the midline overlaps with the midline of the ruler. Then use the transparent tape to fix the fixed film on the PS plate to prevent the film from shifting. Then take the ruler and take the PS plate attached to the film to the printing plate.
In case of special circumstances, when you need to increase or decrease the size of the mouthwash, use transparent tape on the ruler to replace the lined white paper or paper. Increase the size of the mouth with three lines of white paper, reduce the size of the mouth with two horizontal lines of paper. Make the horizontal line on the paper strip or paper piece to the side of the ruler with a positioning hole equal to the new gutter size. The left and right positions of the line are determined by the position of the scallop line on the film, as shown in Figure 2 (using 8.0 cm for the jaws as an example) and Figure 3 (taking the jaw size of 3.0 cm for example).
The actual work found that the ruler has the following advantages:
