It can also be divided according to the specific use, characteristics and structure of the air filter, such as:

(1) Primary air filter

(2) Folding medium efficiency air filter

Uses: Filtration of ventilation systems. General air purification in the fields of electronics, pharmaceuticals, mechanical instrumentation, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, light industry, food, etc.

Features: high efficiency, large dust holding capacity and small footprint.

(3) Bag type medium efficiency air filter

Uses: Central air conditioning centralized ventilation system, or as a pre-filter for high-efficiency filters, it can reduce the burden of high-efficiency filters, extend their service life, and can also be used for general air purification in the industrial field.

Features: low resistance and large dust holding capacity.

(4) Activated carbon filter

Uses: Effectively remove odors, volatiles, bacteria, viruses and various airborne pollutants such as paint sprays, smoke, common pollutants in electronics factories and museums, and odors in food processing plants and hospitals.

Features: Highly developed microporous structure, high adsorption capacity, fast absorption and desorption, good purification effect. The use of activated carbon filtration must have pre-stage filtration, otherwise the efficiency of activated carbon will be reduced due to other pollutants in the air.

Uses: Ventilation and air conditioning systems with low air quality requirements, or places with harsh surrounding environment and high dust as primary pre-filtration.

(9) Aluminum mesh plate air filter

Uses: Ventilation and air conditioning systems with low air quality requirements, or places with harsh surrounding environment, dust and grease are used as primary pre-filtration.

(12) Air shower

Uses and features: The air shower is a personal purification device used by the operator when entering the clean room. It uses a high-speed clean air stream to remove dirt that enters the room. The nozzle is adjustable to effectively remove dust from the person and prevent external contamination from entering the clean area. It can also be used for blowing large cargo.

(13) Transfer window

Uses and characteristics: A device for transferring articles in the clean area to reduce the number of door opening, which minimizes the pollution of the clean room. It is mainly used for the transfer of small items between clean areas and non-clean areas between different levels of clean areas.

(14) Object transfer window

Uses: It is suitable for the object surface to be cleaned by high-speed clean air flow before the object enters the clean area, or the high cleanliness requirement between the clean area and the non-clean area.

Features: The nozzle can be adjusted to directly align the object for blowing, effectively removing object contamination and preventing external pollution from entering the clean area.

(15) Ultra-clean workbench

Uses and features: Ultra-clean workbench is a general-purpose partial purification equipment. It can effectively eliminate the harmful effects of suspended particles and process dust in the air of work area, and is widely used in medical, pharmaceutical, chemical experiments, electronics, precision instruments, food and cosmetics.

According to the material of the air filter, it can be divided into the following types:

(1) foam filter

The foam filter uses a polyethylene or polyester foam filter. The foam is pre-chemically treated to penetrate the internal pore film to provide a series of interconnected pores. When the dust-containing airflow passes, the dust adheres to the wall of the hole due to inertia, diffusion, etc., and the air is purified. The internal structure of the foam is similar to that of the loofah, and the pore size is about 200 μm to 300 μm.

The foam is in contact with organic solvents, otherwise it is easily damaged by expansion. Can resist weak acid and weak base. Gasoline, machine oil, lubricating oil, etc. have no effect on it.

(2) Fiber-filled filter

The fiber-filled filter consists of a frame and a filter material. Depending on the requirements for purification efficiency and resistance, various fibers of different thicknesses are used as fillers, such as glass fibers (about 10 μm in diameter), synthetic fibers (polystyrene), and the like. Fill density has a large impact on efficiency and drag. Filtration thickness and packing density should be determined according to specific requirements.

(3) Fiber felt filter

This filter is a non-woven fabric (felt) made of various fibers (such as polyester, vinylon, etc.) as a filter material. Usually made in bag or roll type.

The bag type fiber felt filter is made of a non-woven filter material to form a folded or V-shaped filter bag to expand the filter area and reduce the filtration wind speed. It has high purification efficiency and is often used as a medium efficiency filter. The shape of this filter is much more. The filtration air volume of each monomer is about 200m3/h, the filtration wind speed is about 20cm/s, and the weight efficiency of artificial dust is 80%.

The self-winding filter can use foam or non-woven fabric as the filter material, and each roll of filter material is about 20m long. The filter consists of upper and lower boxes, vertical frame, baffle bar, transmission mechanism and filter material roll. After the filter material is dusty, it can be automatically rolled up and updated until the entire volume of the filter material has accumulated dust. Each roll of filter material is typically used for 8 months to 1 year.

(4) Paper filter

The paper filter is a sub-efficient and high-efficiency filter. The filter paper used for filtration is: 1 plant cellulose filter paper (for sub-high efficiency filter); 2 blue asbestos fiber filter paper (used as high-efficiency filter); 3 ultra-fine glass fiber filter paper (can be used for sub-high and high efficiency filters).

Since the resistance of the filter paper is high, the filtration wind speed is low. To increase the filtration area, the filter paper can be folded and separated by a separator in a corrugated state. The partition plate can be made by high-quality kraft paper by hot rolling, and plastic or aluminum plate can also be used. The outer frame can be made of wood, plastic, aluminum, steel and other materials.
